Poole Lighthouse – COIN art exhibition

We were delighted to provide three exhibits in the Powerhouse art exhibition. Our aim was to show the essence of our Pirates, Castaways & Codfish project, which sought to celebrate Poole’s maritime history between 1580 and 1730.
In particular we wanted to reflect on the extraordinary maritime spirit of adventure that led to the town’s considerable development in those times. Our exhibits are prints of two maps from the early 17th century together with a collage of the many Poole people who engaged with us either to help explore the time or to hear what we had found.
Two of our short videos are also on display; explaining more about the project and highlighting the drama and storytelling that have been created as a result.
